John Thompson's music uses sound and image as a vehicle for expressing the beauty and complexity of the world. His compositions over the last 10 years have focused on audiovisual works and works for instrument and electronics.

John is Professor of Music Technology and Head of the Music Technology Program at the Gretsch School of Music at Georgia Southern University. He is an enthusiastic educator who has had the pleasure of sharing his passion for music and technology with students for almost two decades. He is dedicated to helping students develop their own creative voices and encouraging them to deeply consider the intersection of technology and music.
